thought i would do an improvement meme and take some time to look back at my old art for the coming year. i'm really happy with how i've improved and i can't wait to see what 2016 brings! : D
also, since i couldn't fit them in and there's so much i had to say, here are the descriptions for each year are below.

2011: first started to delve into digital art around 2008 or so, and the only tools I had to draw at that time were my laptop's trackpad and a Windows 95 version of Paint. I was really into youtube at this time and I stumbled upon Caramelcat123's and Banithekitty's videos (CAN YOU TELL???) I wanted to replicate that style and make kitty characters of my own, so that's what I spent most of 2011 doing. My fursona at this time was a blue and white cat with a scarf named Crystal. I know, super original.
2012: Got a copy of Photoshop from my mom this year and discovered it was much smoother than Paint! Still drew with a trackpad.
I tried experimenting with shading and making more completed pictures instead of just colored doodles. I also tried to design another fursona, Kira (1st picture), but I was never attached to her and ended up not doing much with her.
2012 (October - December): Towards the end of the year I was introduced to Paint Tool SAI, and with the death of my old laptop I finally got my very own drawing tablet. I also joined Deviantart on my 14th birthday! Was definitely influenced by the people I watched and the art I saw there. I also finalized my design for my fursona, who I gave my nickname to.
2013: Introduced all my characters into the world and began to develop them a lot more, but I still clung to my chibi style and shaded regularly with the blur tool. This was sort of a tough year for me, but I still drew a lot, which helped me cope.
2014: Huge transition year for me, both life-wise and art-wise. I finally realized I had to break out of my chibi style and do something more original, so that's what I worked on doing and it was a huge weight off my shoulders! Started to work on developing and launching my comic, Flight. I personally think this was the year that I improved the most.
2015: Was REALLY busy this year with commissions, busting out pages of Flight, and trying to save up money to meet Feline-Frivolity in Ireland (which I eventually succeeded in doing!) I didn't have a lot of time to upload as many completed pictures as I had done before, but style-wise, I am finally at a point where I am mostly content with how I draw. It feels great to get my ideas out faster and how I want them to!
